KenRichins1
When I try and compile I get the error can't add resources. I have uninstalled my A/V and have tried to remove all security from the folders. I have tried on both win8.1 (64-bit) computers and on a win7 (64-bit) computer. I can't seem to find what happened as I had been compiling on all three computer prior to updating to the latest version. I tried to uninstall and install the older version but that did not help. I have even tried to compile sample scripts with the same results. My guess is it is some change in security but have no idea where to look next. Windows 8.1 64-bit autoit 3.3.12 all files are in the same folder. Thanks in advance for helping
KenRichins1
I found the resolution to my problem! It was the ICON file I was trying to use! after switching to a different ICON the compile ran fine. Hope this may help other that have compile issues. Mobius
I found the resolution to my problem! It was the ICON file I was trying to use! after switching to a different ICON the compile ran fine. Hope this may help other that have compile issues. Was it one of your own icons or one of those distributed with AutoIt? I ask simply because you said in the OP that your problem persisted even with other test scripts; so I assume you were using the same icon for every script? Zedna
Install also latest Scite4AutoIt3. Combination of older Scite4AutoIt3 with latest AutoIt3 can generate such problems. Resources UDF ResourcesEx UDF AutoIt Forum Search
KenRichins1
It was a group of my own icons. the one causing the problem was new and I just changed to an existing working icon and all is well
