JohnFLi
I have an internal webpage that I am trying to create an auto login script for. its an https page (not sure if that makes a difference) the various examples I have found here have not helped much. It opens the pages, but that's it. The URL i am opening is https://gvpnag01/nagios then after that, i would like to have it go to https://g1vpnag01/nagios/cgi-bin/status.cgi?host=all&servicestatustypes=28 and thats it. I just cant get past the login. Help please.
Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted July 11, 2014 Moderators Share Posted July 11, 2014 (edited) You're trying to access an internal server, and are encountering a Windows login box, not an IE login page. I would encourage you to look at the forum rules, especially the part about: Bypassing of security measures - log-in and security dialogs, CAPTCHAs, anti-bot agents, software activation, etc. Edited July 11, 2014 by JLogan3o13 "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind. Developers Jos Posted July 11, 2014 Developers Share Posted July 11, 2014 Is IE seeing this server as a local intranet zone server? If so it will try to login automatically assuming your PC credentials are the same as the credentials needed to log into Nagios. Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted July 11, 2014 Moderators Share Posted July 11, 2014 I know for several customers I've worked with recently they assign a different account (same username just appended with $, diff password) as an "admin" account, to stop the autologin from happening. That would be one reason for seeing the pop up. "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind. JohnFLi
The login name for the local machine is different than for the page I am trying to access. The server running the page is non-domained, and is linux not Windows. Even when opening the page on the local machine the person is prompted for the username and password. the below image is how it appears in chrome
JohnFLi
Ok, I have another idea, that might be easier. SInce this is all this system will be doing, I can make https://g1vpnag01/nagios/cgi-bin/status.cgi?host=all&servicestatustypes=28 the default page. so when IE opens, that is where it goes. On the username and password box, I can have it save that info. So basicly, I think that all I should need would be to have something basicly just hit the enter button. is that somethign that is do-able?
