is netterm possible to automate?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

Have a question... i currently automate our system at work using send keys, controlsend keys.. or Dataload which is another program which purely sends keystrokes to a window (built for use with SAP/ORACLE that sort of thing)

Is this possible to automate at all in the sense that i can get directly upload or use some kind of mapping of "field" names & screens or anything like that?

e.g so moving away from keystrokes to more things like _IE automation where you interact with the element?

I dont think it is possible at all but i figured i would ask the question because my knowledge is limited... and i have no idea with API's and interacting with other systems, i just use the premade ones like waters excel UDF etc..

Sorry i cant provide more information on the system we use.. im not sure exactly what i need to say? i believe its unix based and the website is :

http://www.securenetterm.com/

However it is obviously customized to my companies needs etc..

Usually the programs provide a lot of documentation. If you find a chapter how to directly interact with the program that would be a good starting point. Search for API, COM, Visual Basic etc.
