Hi,

i am struggeling with a way to center a label in a GUI that is using @desktopwidth for creating it.

What am i building is a script wich runs after a Windows installation before the users is getting to the desktop, only problem we had so far was the different desktop widths there are.

Can anyone help me with my problem?

my code:

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <StaticConstants.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>

$Form1 = GUICreate("Form1", @DesktopWidth, 80, -1, -1, $WS_POPUPWINDOW)

$Label1 = GUICtrlCreateLabel("Center this line", 224, 24, 143, 24)
GUICtrlSetFont(-1, 12, 800, 0, "MS Sans Serif")

GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)

While 1
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit

    EndSwitch
WEnd

new install.au3

Wingens,

Make the label the same width as the GUI and use the $SS_CENTER style: :)

$Label1 = GUICtrlCreateLabel("Center this line", 0, 24, @DesktopWidth, 24, $SS_CENTER)

P.S. When you post code please use Code tags - see here how to do it. Then you get a scrolling box and syntax colouring as you can see above now I have added the tags. ;)
