Look in the help file for For, Arrays, ProcessExists and that's about it I think. Oh, and FileOpen, FileRead, FileClose.

TheBlackGamer,

Do it like this...

  1. Read file of programs into array
  2. Get list of all processes running into an array
  3. Compare the two arrays and act based on the comparison

As guinness suggest above, all that you need is in the Help file!

Good Luck,

kylomas

I know, I can read. The question really is did you bother to read my post?

ok I wrote This Code (Iam a newbie with Array)

But I get an Error Each TIme That The array Variable ($x) Has A problem with Incorrect Number with Subscriptes :D

Here is The Code I Wrote

#Include <File.Au3>
 Dim $aRecords
      $File = @workingDir & "\Test.txt"
    $hFileOpen = FileOpen($File, 0)
    _FileReadToArray($File, $aRecords)
      $hPlist = ProcessList()
    For $x = 1 To $hPlist[0][0] ;$aRecords[0]
        If StringCompare($aRecords[$x] , $hPlist [$x][0] ) = 0 Then
        ;StringInStr($aRecords[$x], $hPlist[$x][0])
            MsgBox("","","Done  " & $x & "Was Found")
        EndIf
    Next
    FileClose($File)

Post Test.txt

edit:

  1. The fileopen and file close are unneccessary
  2. You are dealing with two arrays, list of programs from file and list of processes from ProcessList.  These are likely to be different sizes so you need to program for that

But This One Worked .. So Now How to keep it in an infinte Loop :D

#Include <File.Au3>
 Dim $aRecords
      $File = @workingDir & "\Test.txt"
    $hFileOpen = FileOpen($File, 0)
    _FileReadToArray($File, $aRecords)
      $hPlist = ProcessList()
    For $x = 1 To  $aRecords[0]
         If ProcessExists ($aRecords[$x]&".exe") Then
         ;If StringCompare($aRecords[$x] , $hPlist [$x][0] ) = 0 Then
        ;StringInStr($aRecords[$x], $hPlist[$x][0])
            MsgBox("","","Done  " & $aRecords[$x ]& "Was Found")

What about you try to understand what you have coded before continuing?

Just an suggestion.

Is There SomeThing Wrong In The Code ?

Many things.

What does this line do?: $hFileOpen = FileOpen($File, 0)

And this one?: $hPlist = ProcessList()

Also this one?:FileClose($File)

Other than that you have a start... so again: Try to understand what you have coded is key.

Here's a rough script to loop on a list of processes from a file.  However, using this technique you will only see one instance (presumably the first) of each process.  That is why I advocated comparing a list of running processes to your list of programs, perhaps it is a moot point!

Comments and a diagnostic display are included, please heed Jos's advice and make sure that you understand what it is that you are running.

There is no convenient way of exiting the script other than canceling at the tray icon.  Let's see if you can figure that out.

#include <array.au3>
#include <File.au3>

; define program file and an array to hold the programs
local $fFileOfPrograms = @scriptdir & '\FileOfPrograms.txt', $aFilePrograms

; File looks like this:

    ;~ notepad.exe
    ;~ wlmail.exe
    ;~ iexplore.exe

; read the file into an array
_filereadtoarray($fFileOfPrograms,$aFilePrograms)

; this shows you what the array looks like
_arraydisplay($aFilePrograms)

while 1   ; here's your infinite loop, cancel the script using the tray icon

    ; iterate the array of programs to see if they are active
    for $1 = 1 to $aFilePrograms[0]
        if Processexists($aFilePrograms[$1]) then
            ;
            ; do something if they match, in this case I write a console message
            ;
            ConsoleWrite(@hour & ':' & @min & ':' & @sec & '      Program found = ' & $aFilePrograms[$1] & @CRLF)
        EndIf
    next

    sleep(5000) ;   sleep for appx 5 seconds (so you don't bury the CPU)

wend
