GUICtrlCreateList

Recommended Posts

I am using the structure $MYList = GUICtrlCreateList("", 16, 32, 569, 246), to display a transaction log on the window as the program progresses.

I use $MyString = "xyz "   GUICtrlSetData($Mylist, $MyString)  to add entries to $MyList.
The problem is they appeared sorted by content.  I added a $LogNumber to the start of each line to keep them in order.

Is there another solution?  Should I be using some other structure for this puropse?

billshu,

Welcome to the AutoIt forums. :)

A List control is created by default with the $LBS_SORT style (plus others) - so you need to overwrite this with only the styles you require. This should do the trick:

GUICtrlCreateList("", 16, 32, 569, 246, BitOr($WS_BORDER, $WS_VSCROLL))
You will need to add "#include <WindowsConstants.au3>" at the top of your script so that AutoIt can find the styles. ;)

A read of the Setting Styles tutorial in the Wiki might be a good idea if you want to know all about styles. :)
