Trouble with Func repeating

 Share

Recommended Posts

Good evening everyone.  I am trying to get a very simple script to work; I want to start the script with a hotkey, have it move my mouse to specific coords, then to simply stop.  Every script I am trying has it looping indefinitely until I stop the script.  I tried '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> As well as http://www.battlenerds.com/groups/autoit/forum/topic/step-4-creating-and-using-functions/ .  Both with the same results.

HotKeySet("{F7}", "_Test")

Func _Test()
   MouseMove(626, 566, 0)
       Sleep(200)
   MouseMove(707, 515, 0)
        Sleep(200)
EndFunc

Thanks!

Welcome to AutoIt and the forum!

You need some loop in your script else it only will execute the HotKeySet statement and then exit.

You'd better read forum rules now.

This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available). An absolute must have in your bookmarks.
Another excellent RegExp tutorial. Don't forget downloading your copy of up-to-date pcretest.exe and pcregrep.exe here
RegExp tutorial: enough to get started
PCRE v8.33 regexp documentation latest available release and currently implemented in AutoIt beta.

SQLitespeed is another feature-rich premier SQLite manager (includes import/export). Well worth a try.
SQLite Expert (freeware Personal Edition or payware Pro version) is a very useful SQLite database manager.
An excellent eBook covering almost every aspect of SQLite3: a must-read for anyone doing serious work.

Ginkel,

As the posted code is entirely legal (albeit incorrect), I am leaving the thread open. But I suggest that, as proposed by jchd, you read the Forum rules (there is also a link at bottom right of each page) immediately and make sure you remain within them when posting in future. Avoiding gratuitous references to gamebot sites would also be a good idea. ;)

I'd say it's correct but asymptotically close to no-op.

Ahh, sorry it took me a minute to understand what you guys meant.  I did read the rules, so I was very confused.  Then I noticed the site I linked being about gaming bots, as you pointed out.  That's not what I'm after here, but it was autoit information that I felt was getting me to a working script.

Back to the help file.
