Seriously? No built in functions for menu icons?

Am I just too stupid to see it, or is there no way without hacking something together to put icons on menu items?

Why?

This is a basic feature in any GUI, we are even teased with a space for the icon.

But no way to put one there?

Every user script I have found to force some way of doing this either adds loads of unneeded complexity, or breaks on certain systems.

What is the reason for leaving this out?

Sorry if I sound bitchy, but I have spent over an hour trying to figure this out and I am losing my shit at the moment.

kushelduv,

I am losing my shit at the moment

Then I suggest you get it all back together and come back when you can ask a question in a sensible manner and not like a tetchy school-kid. :)

kushelduv,

Apart from the fact that the question you have asked above is not the one you asked earlier (you were asking about the lack of menu icon support) - it was the manner in which you asked it that caused the thread to be locked. ;)
