Zohar
Hi I am using Windows XP SP3. I want to copy or move some files, but not in a "quiet" way(like when using a DOS command), but in a way that will show this window that you all know: Do you know how do I initiate a Copy/Move operation that will use this window? Thank you
careca
Maybe you could use progress function do display the bar, and make it so that it will display the files being copied. Now, if you really need to have the windows dialog, im not sure, ctrl+c ctrl+v? Zohar
Hi Thank you for the idea, but I don't want to recreate this window. Also, I believe the's a programmatic way to achieve it, so I hope someone who has done this in the past, can direct me how to do it.

Zohar
Thank you.. So the method that runs it is called "CopyHere"? Is there also a MoveHere() method? Edit: Apparently yes. Explained here: http://blog.oneboredadmin.com/2013/02/copying-files-in-powershell-using.html Edited August 19, 2014 by Zohar
DutchCoder
$objShell = ObjCreate('Shell.Application') $objFolder = $objShell.NameSpace('Destination Folder') ; Use the right folder as destination $ProcessID = $objFolder.CopyHere('Source Folder') ; Initiate the command ProcessWaitClose($ProcessID) ; Wait for copy to end and Yes, MoveHere also works Edited September 5, 2014 by DutchCoder
