I realize that it's not possible to discover the percentage when the function itself doesn't know the total, but, it seems like it checks how many folders there are, before it retrieves the files inside, i'd like to get a preliminar count/progress based on that. This is because when i use it on folders with 3k files, the function takes it's time, and i'd like to have some information that it is working, and because it's not a normal loop, it works with return, im confused as to what i should do. Solution guinness Posted August 22, 2014 Solution Share Posted August 22, 2014 Well since it recursively searches the directory there is no way to do what you want, unless you use DirGetSize() before, but it's slow on large directories such as C:. I would use a progress bar with the style set to marquee, see my signature. Therefore you would have to remove the usage of Progress... and use GUI controls. Much better to use a marquee progress to show something is happening. Spoiler Renamer - Rename files and folders, remove portions of text from the filename etc. GPO Tool - Export/Import Group policy settings. MirrorDir - Synchronize/Backup/Mirror Folders BeatsPlayer - Music player. Params Tool - Right click an exe to see it's parameters or execute them. String Trigger - Triggers pasting text or applications or internet links on specific strings. Inconspicuous - Hide files in plain sight, not fully encrypted. Regedit Control - Registry browsing history, quickly jump into any saved key. Time4Shutdown - Write the time for shutdown in minutes. Power Profiles Tool - Set a profile as active, delete, duplicate, export and import. Finished Task Shutdown - Shuts down pc when specified window/Wndl/process closes. NetworkSpeedShutdown - Shuts down pc if download speed goes under "X" Kb/s.
