Terrible lag in Admin?

Recommended Posts

I'm making a script that uses Mouse 4/5 as simulated commands in a game. Scripts exist for this and work fine but do not allow for mouse buttons hotkeys.

After running the game for an hour and using #RequireAdmin in my scripts the game can lag obscenely!! Send("/oos") can take 0.5 seconds per character and the Beep() can take up to 5+ seconds. All the while BlockInput() is there so I'm unable to do anything. When running the script without administrator rights it doesn't seem to have this issue, but the simulated mouse clicks can miss even at speed 0. I'm running Avast but even when disabling it and adding exceptions to it the lag is still there. I realize this may NOT be an issue with Autoit3 but I doubt I can get help elsewhere.

A small snippet of my code is below

<snip>

The game is in Windowed Fullscreen (fake fullscreen)

Windows 7 64bit

4GB ram (game gets to around 2.5g before the lag ensues, but it doesn't affect the script unless it's admin)

I also noticed that the game does not allow me to tab sometimes unless I open the Task Manager and doing this exacerbates the lag issue.

highwindff,

Welcome to the AutoIt forum. :)

Unfortunately you appear to have missed the Forum rules on your way in. Please read them now (there is also a link at bottom right of each page) - particularly the bit about not discussing game automation - and then you will understand why you will get no help and this thread will now be locked. :naughty:

See you soon with a legitimate question I hope. :)
