tonycst Posted September 12, 2014 Share Posted September 12, 2014 Does windows have some sort of notification that i can use to get file that was recently changed ? For example: when i save text file, does windows reflect the fact that files just got updated to what ever date/time anywhere in the registry ? I doubt that update takes place only for file, Windows somehow somewhere has store information about recently changed files/folders etc I need this to create automatic backup that would not backup all files, but only those that get changed instantly. I run Xcopy with /D switch when computer starts, but it takes time. The more files updated the more time it takes to replace old once. What i want to make is a loop that will detect any files that were recently changed, match them to user selected directory and then back them up wherever. Any ideas ?
