Colors and Win7 - please help

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm not able to colorize my fonts. I've just read that it's because of Win7, but I don't know why and what to do.

My goal is to have a black background and a red Label: "Volume Control"

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>

Global $hGUI1 = GUICreate("Color", 200, 200)
GUISetBkColor (0x000000)  ; will change background color

GUICtrlCreateGroup("Volume control", 20,20,170,60)
GUICtrlSetColor(-1,0xff0000)    ; Red
Global $iSlider1 = GUICtrlCreateSlider(25, 40, 160, 40)
GUICtrlSetBkColor (-1,0x000000)  ; will change background color

GUISetState()

While 1
   Switch GUIGetMsg()
      Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
         ExitLoop
      EndSwitch
WEnd

Many thanks

I see a black background and red font. What are you not seeing?

Try this way. It will work with Windows 7 with the Aero theme turned on.

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WinAPITheme.au3>

Global $hGUI1 = GUICreate("Color", 200, 200)
GUISetBkColor(0x000000) ; will change background color

$idGroup = GUICtrlCreateGroup("Volume control", 20, 20, 170, 60)
$hGroup = GUICtrlGetHandle($idGroup)
_WinAPI_SetWindowTheme($hGroup, "", "")
GUICtrlSetColor(-1, 0xff0000) ; Red
Global $iSlider1 = GUICtrlCreateSlider(25, 40, 160, 40)
GUICtrlSetBkColor(-1, 0x000000) ; will change background color

GUISetState()

While 1
    Switch GUIGetMsg()
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            ExitLoop
    EndSwitch
WEnd

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
