How to send fn key to a program

Hi all,

I need to send Ctrl + Fn + Break to SciTE. I wrote code like this.

Send("^{FN}{Break}")

But didn't work. Any suggestion ?

If the "Fn" key to which you refer is the one commonly found on laptops then AutoIt cannot action it as it is hardware based. >

What are you trying to do with that key press? There might be other ways to produce the same effect.

I have similar problem with my notebook I can not use CTRL+Break or CTRL+ALT+BREAK 

because there is no BREAK button on my notebook keyboard.

 

So the question is:

Is it possible to use any setting in AutoIt3Wrapper to change this keys combination to another combination, for example by using any AutoIt3Wrapper directive ?

I need to buid a little tool to start and stop the script in SciTE. A little GUI with two buttons. Start and stop. Start is working correctly, but stop is not working since i can't send the 'fn' key.

And if you have a GUI then the "{ESC}" key usually suffices to close it (which often ends the script if coded correctly).

At home I have a docking station and I plug a standard 104 keys keyboard.

In travel (car, bus, train, plane) it is imposible.

Try to restart when your script is in automation process and switch several times in a minutes beetwen several diferent windows and move mouse for clicking .

Actually I'am not so quick as AutoIt

You can automate visual keyboard

W + R > OSK.EXE

or

Run > OSK.EXE

After that, ControlClick maybe ?

MouseClick ?

An other solution.... Personnaly i did a looooot of script with badass mouse click / move ... look at this... this is the best way.

   HotKeySet("{ESCAPE}", "Exite")
 

   Func Exite () ;==>Quitter
       Exit
   EndFunc

If you want to leave the script without any action...

AdlibRegister ("Exite",  30 000)

   Func Exite () ;==>Quitter
       Exit
   EndFunc

Standard feature of SciTE4AutoIt is

 

--> Press Ctrl+Alt+Break to Restart or Ctrl+Break to Stop

you can change this by using AutoIt3Wrapper.ini

You mean, download this AU3Wrapper file and replace it with my existing au3wrapper. Then i need to try "SciTE_STOPEXECUTE={F11}" in my script. Am i right ?

You must find your own file in you Windows User Home Dir
