Looking for assistance with MS Access

Hello, all! First-time poster here. I am starting to learn autoit to help me with various tasks at work, primarily with MS Access 2013 databases. My current project is using autoit to start access 2013 and open a specific database (.accdb format). I've searched high and low on the internet for threads specifically addressing this subject and come up dry. I know that I'm not understanding the script requirements, so I'll post my chicken scratch and let everyone see what I'm working with. Any help you can offer would be much appreciated! 

Run ( "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 15\MSACCESS.exe" [, "Drive\Folder\Database"])

Try this. Don't use the brackets in the function, the brackets in the help file indicate optional parameters and aren't to be included in the command.

Google VBScript examples for access...those are easy to convert to autoit.

Simple example of vbs:

dim accessApp
set accessApp = createObject("Access.Application")
accessApp.visible = true
accessApp.OpenCurrentDataBase("C:\path.accdb")
accessApp.Run "myLinker"

and modified to autoit:

Local $accessApp
$accessApp = ObjCreate("Access.Application")
$accessApp.visible = true
$accessApp.OpenCurrentDataBase("C:\path.accdb")
$accessApp.Run "myLinker"

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated!  I tried BrewMan's code first, and that didn't make it happy. Something about that format it doesn't like, no matter what I do with it. The compiled script would run, but freeze before accomplishing anything. jdelaney's worked very well to open the correct database. Now I'll see if I can play around with VBScript and get the next stage going. I'll either post the successful script or be back with specific questions. Thanks again!

After a bit of tinkering I was able to get the final result I was after, which is to launch an access database, provide a login, and execute a macro. This was specifically conceived of to allow access to launch another instance of access from within a macro for a daily application. The successful code, minus sensitive data, is below.
