Many times I find myself record $ WM_NOTIFY to handle the sorting in the listview, but are forced to use within the function registered by $ WM_NOTIFY some global variables. Is there a way to pass other parameters to the function $ WM_NOTIFY in order to use the least possible global variables?. Excuse me for english (Google translate). You must use Global variables to get any other information to the handler - but you should not need too many. You must use Global variables to get any other information to the handler - but you should not need too many. You can have less than 4 parameters if your function doesn't use, for example, the LParam parameter. It will operate just fine with no parameters at all if you don't care about the window handle, or the message or the other 2 parameters in your function. Admittedly it wouldn't make much sense to have a Windows message function not take notice of at least some of the parameters, but you don't need all 4. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise.
