Sn3akyP3t3
Local $number = "" If isNumber(Int($number)) And Then MsgBox(0,"","Blank is a number!") The above snippet evaluates to true. I'm not sure if this is a bug. The below snippet is the workaround to avoid the problem of an empty string provided evaluating to a number. Local $number = "" If IsNumber(Int($number)) And StringLen(StringStripWS($number, $STR_STRIPALL)) Then MsgBox(0, "", "Blank is a number!")
Moderators Melba23 Posted April 6, 2015 Moderators Share Posted April 6, 2015 Sn3akyP3t3,Once again Autoit's lack of typing claims a victim! The blank string is automatically converted to a number by Int - and becomes numeric 0 as there is no numeric content at the start (see Number in the Help file). Using string/numeric functions on the opposing datatype nearly always ends in tears - best to force the conversion yourself beforehand. spudw2k
Technically the Int() function is converting the string to a 0...which is a number. edit: Melba's got this.
