RosenKohl
Hi Folks, This is my first post here, so first of all let me thank you for all the help you gave me, wich made my subscription on the forum not necessary.Second, sorry for my English, I give potatoes on demand So, i'm writing a script wich intend to generate scheduled task on remote server, for the purpose of saving tasks. I need this script to run at a fixed time every day on a windows 2008 R2 server, so I want to do it as a scheduled task.I'm facing a big problem. This is one part of my script (just a test actually):#Region Programme principal #include <File.au3> ;On lit le fichier de conf _FileCreate("D:\test1.txt") $aaa=FileOpen("D:\test1.txt") FileWriteLine($aaa,"test") FileClose($aaa)When running the compiled exe on my own, it's working great, but if I try to run this exe with a scheduled task, it's seems that the FileOpen and/or de FileWriteLine don't work...I run the task with the option "run wether or not the user is logged on", and I know that there is an issue about active/hidden windows (see FAQ links: https://www.autoitscript.com/wiki/FAQ#Why_doesn.27t_my_script_work_on_a_locked_workstation.3F ), but I have no idea about FileOpen and/or FileWriteLine.Edit: to be more precise, the task keep running indefinitly, like if the FileCreate method is in a "wait" state. Hy will be greatfull for any help, as the rest of my script is depending on this condition, because I'm calling schtasks.exe with the @ComSpec method. Thanks a lot ! BrewManNH
Don't use _FileCreate because you can do the same operation with the FileOpen command using FileOpen($sFilePath, BitOR($FO_OVERWRITE, $FO_CREATEPATH)). You don't really gain anything by using it. Is the D: drive a network share or an actual drive/partition on the server? If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Juvigy
With what credentials have you set the task to run ? Do you have admin rights ? What is your OS ?
RosenKohl
Well thanks a lot BrewManNH ! Using FileOpen method solved my problem To complet my answer, D: is a local drive, and I run the task with a local admin user, on a Windows 2008 R2 x64 system Nice day ! TheSaint
I suggest you read the Help file more carefully, as you did not provide a mode with your FileOpen, so it was by default in Read Only mode. How this worked at all for you, I don't know.A careful read of FileWriteLine would have shown you another alternative too. Make sure brain is in gear before opening mouth! Remember, what is not said, can be just as important as what is said. Spoiler What is the Secret Key?
