qwert
Upon installing the new SciTE, I decided to improve the font and color assignments I use.I prefer a slightly bolder "basic" font, so I tried Segoe UI Semibold, a font I often use in word processing and graphics design. But SciTE ignores the setting and seems to use the system's default Sans Serif, which produces a thin (to me) result.Does SciTE give priority to a "400 weight font" for normal text, regardless of the named font? ... and then just request "600 weight" for bold?Or is there a parameter in one of the option files that controls this? Thanks in advance for any help. qwert
I don't quite follow. If I change to an entirely different font, the font does take effect ... but only if the style is "regular". For example, Segoe UI works, but Segoe UI Semibold is ignored.

qwert
I've confirmed my original result by using a font with only semibold weight. Upon not finding a regular weight in the requested font, SciTE defaults to the system's default regular weight font.SciTE does, however, seem able to use Light weight fonts ... at least the ones I've tried. It only has problems with the Semibold weights. It seems unable to skip past the Regular (400?) weight. I wish I could determine where 400 is specified. Thanks for your response and results.
