Help adding + 1 to variable

Recommended Posts

Good Day, anyone could help me with this,  adding + 1 to variable like this:

#include <ButtonConstants.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
#Region ### START Koda GUI section ### Form=C:\Users\user\Documents\Main\Script\count.kxf
$Form1 = GUICreate("Form1", 152, 82, 192, 124)
$Button1 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Count", 32, 24, 75, 25)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)
#EndRegion ### END Koda GUI section ###

While 1
    Local $Count = 14
    Local $Counter = 0
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $Button1
            MsgBox(64, "", $Count)
            $Count = $Count + 1
            MsgBox(64, "", $Count)
            $Count = $Count + 1
            MsgBox(64, "", $Count)
            $Counter += 1
    EndSwitch
WEnd

but what im trying to achieved is to add +1 to variable everytime i click the Count Button(using single button) like this:

#include <ButtonConstants.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
#Region ### START Koda GUI section ### Form=C:\Users\user\Documents\Main\Excel\Script\count.kxf
$Form1 = GUICreate("Form1", 152, 82, 192, 124)
$Button1 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Count", 32, 24, 75, 25)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)
#EndRegion ### END Koda GUI section ###

While 1
    Local $Count = 14
    Local $Counter = 0
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $Button1
            MsgBox(64, "", $Count)
            $Counter += 1
        Case $Button1
            $Count = $Count + 1
            MsgBox(64, "", $Count)
            $Counter += 1
        Case $Button1
            $Count = $Count + 1
            MsgBox(64, "", $Count)
            $Counter -= 1
    EndSwitch
WEnd

 need expert help.

Something like this?

#include <ButtonConstants.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
#Region ### START Koda GUI section ### Form=C:\Users\user\Documents\Main\Excel\Script\count.kxf
$Form1 = GUICreate("Form1", 152, 82, 192, 124)
$Button1 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Count", 32, 24, 75, 25)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)
#EndRegion ### END Koda GUI section ###

Local $iCount = 14
While 1
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $Button1
            $iCount = $iCount + 1
            MsgBox(64, "", $iCount)
    EndSwitch
WEnd

232showtime,

I have no idea what you actually want to do, but this does what you say you want:

what im trying to achieved is to add +1 to variable everytime i click the Count Button(using single button)

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <MsgBoxConstants.au3>

$Counter = 14

$Form1 = GUICreate("Form1", 152, 82, 192, 124)
$Button1 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Count", 32, 24, 75, 25)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)

While 1
    Switch GUIGetMsg()
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $Button1
            $Counter += 1
            MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "Count", $Counter)
    EndSwitch
WEnd

I guess I don't understand what you're trying to accomplish. Why are you setting $Counter to $Button1? If all you are trying to do is increase $Count whenever you click the button, you could do this...

#include <ButtonConstants.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
#Region ### START Koda GUI section ### Form=C:\Users\user\Documents\Main\Excel\Script\count.kxf
$Form1 = GUICreate("Form1", 152, 82, 192, 124)
$Button1 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Count", 32, 24, 75, 25)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)
#EndRegion ### END Koda GUI section ###

Local $Count = 14

While 1
    Switch GUIGetMsg()
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $Button1
            MsgBox(64, "", $Count)
            $Count += 1
    EndSwitch
WEnd

Melba,

is your double post "intentionally" or do you now have the same problem I see all the time with the new forum?

Or do you simply want to push up your post count ;)

water,

I really do not think my post count needs any help!

It was just the forum software mucking about - fortunately I can delete things, which I have now done.

Glad you resolved your issue. I will point out that, of the 3 of us who answered, two pointed out you were not very clear in your OP. You need to think about clearly stating what you are trying to do in future posts, as well as defining just what you're having a problem with (error message, unintended behavior, etc.). We tend to spend at least several posts trying to drag more information out of you in each of your threads. By being very clear on your OP, you help us help you ;)

I'm glad I'm no longer the only one with this problem. Right now it happens to me every time I post and add some code in a code box.
