Hi,

Whenever I download a file from the Net, the date accessed, modified or created always shows the time n date when the file was dowloaded.

how can i write it such that it shows the date n time the file was originally created, modified n accessed?

thanks.

Hi!

I think that is impossible, cause on your machine, the downloaded file is creted again and just filled with the data from the internet.

Please correct me, professionals, if I'm wrong.

I'm not sure how this would be done using the http protocol, but you could use the FTPFindFirstFile API function for ftp downloads.

You would need to create a structure to receive the file information, and then convert the time to a usable format.

FTPFindFirstFile- http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default....ndfirstfile.asp

peethebee, thanks for the info.

Skruge, too bad...my network does not allow for FTP connections.

thanks alot tho. guess i have to place the file in a shared folder n copy from there, than to inetget. filecopy...i believe retains the date n time.
