Editbox finding end of lines

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've trouble with editbox. I saw similar topics but dont saw this what i need.

How i can divide text from editbox by lines to array. I know methods with _ispressed and this but what if I paste text with enters ?

You can use any text or sign as delimiters If you cant use space as delimiter no problem use another one like (. , ;:'").

Life is like a coin. You can spend it Anyway as you wish and for your kind information. "you can spend it only once."

Turtlix21,

 its easy when variable doesn't has spaces, but what if it has spaces ?

What have spaces got to do with it?

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <Array.au3>
#include <StringConstants.au3>

$sText = "Line 1" & @CRLF & _
         "Line 2 with lots of spaces" & @CRLF & _
         "Line 3"

$hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500)

$cEdit = GUICtrlCreateEdit($sText, 10, 10, 480, 300)

$cButton = GUICtrlCreateButton("Read", 10, 400, 80, 30)
GUICtrlSetState($cButton, $GUI_FOCUS)

GUISetState()

While 1

    Switch GUIGetMsg()
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $cButton

            $sRead = GUICtrlRead($cEdit)
            $aLines = StringSplit($sRead, @CRLF, $STR_ENTIRESPLIT)
            _ArrayDisplay($aLines, "Edit Content", Default, 8)
    EndSwitch

WEnd
