AD Account Credentials

Recommended Posts

Let me start with this... If this post violates any AutoIT forum policy, please delete it immediately. I have no desire to be banned. This is NOT for hacking. This is to make my life easier as I log in and out of the app referenced below many times during the course of my work day.

We have a 3rd party app that is hosted via Citrix. They have LDAP configured for the app. So, the username/passwords for the app are the same as what is used to login to the local PC.

Is it possible to pass the currently logged in user's credentials(username/password) to the 3rd party app?

In short: No.
The credentials are stored in encrypted format.
What you are looking for is Singe Signon (SSO).

To expand on Water's comment, a true SSO product is not something you're going to do in AutoIt. I've worked on only one product where I got to see the actual code (Citrix's SSO), and it required an extension to the A.D. schema, as well as some very integrated components, to achieve the desired effect. Even so, it did not do a perfect job of it (which is why it is now defunct as a product).

Thanks, water... I suspected as much... I am familiar with SSOs. I was just hoping it was something that could be done within AutoIT as I have become quite fond of the language.
