tsicoupe
Hello All,we are upgrading from windows 7 to a mixed enviornment with 7 and 8. I have changed the gpo so users on windows 8 will have a separate roaming profile in the .v4 folder. I explained to users that they will have separate profiles between the different os but i wanted them to start windows 8 with the same desktop and favorite items they had on windows 7. So i was going to look into making a script that would copy those folders from their .v2 folder to the .v4 folder. How would i go about doing this? I looked into xcopy or robocopy but it seems i need a batch file to do this? Thanks for the help
ViciousXUSMC
If you do not know how to copy with xcopy or robocopy and make a .bat I do not think AutoIT will help you.You would use Filecopy() in AutoIT to copy files.

Fair enough, i ahve used robocopy quite a bit but just for simple transfers
