So far I have this ...

#include <ie.au3>
$oIE = _IECreate ("TAKENOUTFORPOST")
$oForm = _IEFormGetObjByName ($oIE, "logonForm")
$oQuery1 = _IEFormElementGetObjByName ($oForm, "username")
$oQuery2 = _IEFormElementGetObjByName ($oForm, "password")
$uname="XXXXXX"
$pwd="XXXXXX"
_IEFormElementSetValue ($oQuery1,$uname)
_IEFormElementSetValue ($oQuery2,$pwd)

I have tried some of the collection functions and other ones but it still says error 7 in the debugger about name does not exist.

Any help is welcomed.

Thanks in advance

No. By default, _IEFrameGetCollection with return a collection of frames. If there is only one frame or you know the frame # then you can try something like this:

#include <ie.au3>
$oIE = _IECreate ("TAKENOUTFORPOST")
$oFrame =  _IEFrameGetCollection($oIE, 0)
$oForm = _IEFormGetObjByName ($oFrame, "logonForm")

You could also try something like this:

#include <ie.au3>
$oIE = _IECreate ("TAKENOUTFORPOST")
$oFrame = _IEFrameGetObjByName ($oIE, "frmContent")
$oForm = _IEFormGetObjByName ($oFrame, "logonForm")

      >What OS / version of IE? Are you able to automate any sites / run the example code from the help file? If not, then perhaps you've been bitten by the   update from MS that interfered with automation.

IE 8 on win 7.

Know what update messed with automation?

This works for me on IE8:

#include <ie.au3>

$oIE = _IECreate ("http://kronos.compconnectioninc.info/wfc/logon")

$oFrame = _IEFrameGetCollection($oIE, 0)
$oForm = _IEFormGetObjByName ($oFrame, "logonForm")
$oQuery1 = _IEFormElementGetObjByName ($oForm, "username")
$oQuery2 = _IEFormElementGetObjByName ($oForm, "password")
$uname="testing"
$pwd="password"

_IEFormElementSetValue ($oQuery1,$uname)
_IEFormElementSetValue ($oQuery2,$pwd)

So that's weird. Its not working on my pc. It opens but nothing ever shows up in the username and pass fields. In the debugger it still shows 0 as the value of the oForm. I am going to compile the script and run it on a different box and see what happens.
