BrewManNH
If all the file names start with Manual_ you can use the DOS ren command to do it very easily.Run(@ComSpec & " /c ren D:\Manual_*.txt Alarm_*.txt", "", @SW_HIDE)This command will rename any file that starts with the word Manual followed by an underscore, and change the word Manual to Alarm. It will not show a window when doing it. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Rockerfeller
You could try this then. Run(@ComSpec & " /c ren D:\Manual*.txt Alarm*.txt", "", @SW_HIDE) I also seen a filerename function in example scripts or wiki.
