18% CPU USAGE ?

Is there any tricks make the autoit program use less cpu? I have an autoit program to search for certain elements and do some actions... Currently sleep is set 60 ....And the worst part is that it uses 18% cpu...Constantly taking my CPU temp to 95 C in an hour...

 

Any idea how to fix it?

To limit its CPU usage? I was able to limit the cpu usage to 6% with this !

Show us your script and we might be able to help.

Does your script use GUI, and if it does, does it use standard controls (GUICtrlCreate***) or self-rendered controls? Because, even if you use 100 milliseconds delay, many operations on, for example GDI+ objects can make your script use that much CPU. For example, early versions of my image editor were able to use more than 50% of CPU with 100 milliseconds delay.

In this reality, like water hints, no-one can answer without seeing full script.

If the following script takes 18% of your cpu, then you are probably running an old 386 intel chip from the 80's.
