Having a problem checking errors with a function i made

A fair while ago i made this

But ive started to get a few that didnt work.

Ive traced it back to the robocopy command that is failing, but i cant find a way to keep the window open to read what the text is.

I need to be able to see the window and keep it on screen to read the errors but Run only gives the basic output, where i need what the robocpoy is doing.

Would i be better trying to convert it to @ComSpec then use k to hold the window or is there another way?

Any suggestions?

There's that way or then reading the standard output stream using StdoutRead(), which you can then dump to the console or text file. See help file for an example.

On top of that, you can also get the return code of Robocopy, as I can imagine that it gives one in case of errors.

Yes robocopy has numerous returns but the Run() masks it, so ill have a look at guinness suggestion and see if i can read the stream.

Its a shame run doesnt pass through the exit codes from the item inside it.

But im sure here is good reasons for that :)

RunWait() does, not Run(). Run() returns the PID, which is should do and RunWait() returns the exit code, because you don't need the PID on account of the fact it has finished.
