Windows 10 - existing script - other browsers

Recommended Posts

I have a script running on Windows 7.  Has anyone downloaded Windows 10 and tried running their script against the new browser that is included.  I am concerned I will need to rewrite the script and no UDF is available.  Along the same line, I am unable to run the same script using Chome.  Is there a universal UDF so we can use any browser?

I search he forums but was not able to find the answer so if this has already been answered please provide me the links or key words so I can find these answers.

Thanks in advance.

Bill

The problem with this (aside from the fact that you don't actually post the script you're so worried about) is the ever-changing builds of Windows 10. As we're leading up to the release on the 29th, MS is releasing builds at an ever faster rate. I think I saw three last week, in fact. There is no real point in worrying over - or extensively testing - your scripts until the actual release. All you'll accomplish, aside from a case of heartburn, is guaranteeing yourself that you'll have to do it all over again after the actual release.

Thanks, I will look further.  I guess I will wait on the free upgrade to Windows 10 since the script may not work and that will shut down my work.  Since the script only works on IE9 and above and that is only on one Windows 7 machine that I have.  My other machines are still running XP but the script will not work on chrome.

I use Windows 10 devellopers preview fast ring (very newest win10 Edition) and there is MS Edge the default browser, but you can easily switch to ie11.

Till now, all my ie.au3 scripts are running fine.

Edit: Post a running reproducer and i'll test it on my machine. :)
