HI GUYS! I've got a question to ask you! It's not about AutoIt. I need someone to tell me how can i host a website directly from my PC. I've tried a to find some answers by looking on Google, but, that stuff was not relevant. I use Windows XP service pack 2. I need just some help in this little problem. I wait for you to answer.

:think: mmm WinXP, Hope you are not intending to make this webserver internet facing.

Just install IIS from the WIndows optional components and you have your websever. https://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/iiiisin2.mspx?mfr=true

Then there is Apache? Are you using PHP? .NET? Java? Basic HTML5/CSS3/JS? Too many questions and very little information.

Use Dropbox or Google drive then. You could use IIS as instructed by @Jos, but when you say you're going to serve it on Windows XP SP2, I don't think you take security very seriously, so...my advice is use either of those providers and leave it up to them to sort out the "hard stuff". I am being realistic, no one these days "hosts" their own site, since hosting is really cheap.

I used Apache and it was easy enough to get working, however running my big-rig computer 24x7 costs more in power consumption than purchasing webspace.

I use XAMPP, as uniformserver I found was outdated. By the way, if you don't need the likes of MySQL, the apache as standalone should be suffice (I think?!).

Though this is for testing and NOT production.

Use WAMP instead of XAMPP because XAMPP is built for development purposes i.e It is not meant to be used for web servers, WAMP is similar to XAMPP but its built for hosting web servers, TD Its all crap, TD :)

I don't know where you got that. The first and second phrase on Wamp's website say exactly the same thing:

WampServer is a Windows web development environment.
