OpenOffice incorrect starting from a script

Recommended Posts

Hi! I'm trying to make autoinstall of OpenOffice, but when I run the script as file, it's launchs lot of OpenOffice install windows. But if I executing it from SciTE, then all is fine. OpenOffice install is for x32 system, but mine OS is x64. Does it's a reason for such behavior?

OS: Windows 7 x64, 512Mb RAM (virtual machine)

The script body:

Run("Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.0_Win_x86_install_ru.exe")
WinWaitActive("","")
Send("{ENTER}")

NetRanger,

Welcome to the AutoIt forums.

At a guess you have named the compiled executable as "Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.0_Win_x86_install_ru.exe", so that it keeps spawning itself - that is the usual reason you see multiple instances of the same process. Try renaming the script you compile and see if that solves the problem.

I have figured out the reason of what causes such behavior - WinWaitActive("",""). I have changed that to WinWaitActive("Preparing to install OpenOffice 4.1.0","&Next") and it's done. I just thought, that's AutoIt don't understand russian language.
