slower function then Radnom(x,x,1) ?

Recommended Posts

hello all, is there another way then the Random function?

for i example i want to do a variable like :

$number = 1 or 2 or 3 or 4

then when i press a specific key(example {F8} the variable is 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 and dont change until i release the F8)

i tested it with $number = Random(1,4,1)

but always the number is changing i want that the number only changing if i release the hotkey !

maybe its not possible with autoit i dont know but it would be nice if some one can help me out

Post what you have tried.

Kylomas

$number = 0
if _ispressed($F8)Then
$number = Random(1,4,1)
cout($number)
endif

why i need to post the full code? lmao i just ask if it possible

i want that the Random Number is now for example 1 when i press F8 its doesnt change until i release F8 and it will do a new number between 1 and 4

Now :

if f8 pressed Then

$number = Random(1,4,1) ; number changing everytime

What i want :

if f8 Pressed Then

$number = 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 ; number dont change until i release F8 then the number is something between 1 and 4, if i press F8 the number will stay what it was when i pressed f8

Because we then know that you already put some effort into the issue.
When we see your code we can tell what goes wrong and why you do not see the expected result.

VerteXslaPPy,

What you want is very simple - detect the key being pressed, get a random number, and then wait until the key is no longer pressed. The _IsPressed example shows how to do this.
