Recording positions on specific screen

Recommended Posts

I am looking to get the script to do something along the lines of,
Activate Window
Press button 1
Click spot X
Press button 1
Click spot Y
Press button 1
Click spot Z
Hold button 2
Release Button 2
repeat...

The problem im having here is i dont know how to make the Script pop up a text box that would say something along the lines of
"Be prepaired to click for position X"
"Press okay and then click where X should be"

Then to have the position/window that is clicked to be recorded to be used as "spot x, y or z" based on the recoded location...
Then reused in the script what i have thus far (knowing nothing about how to actually do this so i wont try and look stupid)

WinActivate("Window")
$Script=1
While $Script=1
   Send("1")
   Sleep(1500)
;shouldt something about grabbing the already grabbed location
   MouseClick("Left")
   Sleep(1500)
   Send("1")
   Sleep(1500)
;shouldt something about grabbing the already grabbed location
   MouseClick("Left")
   Sleep(1500)
   Send("1")
   Sleep(1500)
;shouldt something about grabbing the already grabbed location
   MouseClick("Left")
   Sleep(1500)

Autonogi,

Welcome to the AutoIt forums.

Trying locate and click specific screen locations is not a terribly reliable way of automating an application. If you can tell us which app you are using and exactly what you are trying to do we might be able to help develop something less dependent on window position and screen resolution.
