Detect, if windows plays alert sound

Hello, I want to ask you for help, how to check, if Windows is currently playing a Sound.

The idea is, to write a watchdog, which is running in the background and "Hearing",

if Windows reacts on a System condition with playing an alert Sound. Then this watchdog

can act against the System condition with appropriate measures.

I researched on "_SoundStatus", but this did'nt help for me.
