Command Line Parameters

Hi, I have a small problem with typing parametr in command line

My working code is:

Run(@comspec & ' /c "C:\Users\G514204\Desktop\Capture2Text\Capture2Text.exe " '  & $x11  & " " &  $y11 & " " & $x21 & " " & $y21 & " " & ' output.txt', "",@SW_MINIMIZE )

But I need instead output.txt to set different path like :"C:\Users\G514204\Desktop\Results\output.txt". Double quotes are necessary, $x11, $y11... are coordinates. In shorcut on desktop in field Target is written: C:\Users\G514204\Desktop\Capture2Text\Capture2Text.exe 369 510 715 558 "C:\Users\G514204\Desktop\AutoIt Results\output.txt"

Can anyone give me some advice? I will be very grateful.

Nahnilaruka,

Welcome to the AutoIt forums.

But in future, please do not hijack non-related threads - just start a new one as I have now done for you.

Try this.

Run(@comspec & ' /c "C:\Users\G514204\Desktop\Capture2Text\Capture2Text.exe" '  & $x11  & " " &  $y11 & " " & $x21 & " " & $y21 & " " & ' "C:\Users\G514204\Desktop\AutoIt Results\output.txt"', "" , @SW_MINIMIZE)

This gives you a command line like this:

C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe /c "C:\Users\G514204\Desktop\Capture2Text\Capture2Text.exe" 1 1 1 1  "C:\Users\G514204\Desktop\AutoIt Results\output.txt"

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

With some DOS (Console programs) you need to provide a working directory, so I often have to do something like the following.

Run(@comspec & ' /c Capture2Text.exe '  & $x11  & " " &  $y11 & " " & $x21 & " " & $y21 & " " & ' "C:\Users\G514204\Desktop\AutoIt Results\output.txt"', "C:\Users\G514204\Desktop\Capture2Text" , @SW_MINIMIZE)
