muzza4
Hi AllI have a script that allows me to set the browser I want to use, closes all instances of that browser, then runs the website in that browsers.Closing all instances of the browser uses this code (using Firefox as an example)...$Process = 'firefox.exe'Do $Again = 'No' $PID = ProcessExists($Process) If $PID > 0 Then ProcessClose($PID) $Again = 'Yes' EndIfUntil $Again = 'No'It works fine for many browsers including IE11, but it doesn't for Edge. The $Process value I am using is "Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe" since this is what Task Manager has as its name in Properties.Any ideas on why it doesn't work?ThanksMuzza
BrewManNH
"Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe" is the folder name that Edge is in, not the program that is used to run it. Use "MicrosoftEdge.exe" as the process name. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
