why these 2 tests are not equal ?

Try this

If not (GUICtrlRead($Combo_SFP1) == "AUCUN") Then

Operator precedence makes the original line read like

  • Not GUICtrlRead($combo_sfp1)
  • You then do a comparison of the result of the first one, which is true or false depending on what's in the combo, to AUCUN

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Well it's ok, i've just tested.

As you said:

This is not correct:

If not GUICtrlRead($Combo_SFP1) == "AUCUN" Then

and this is correct:

If Not ( GUICtrlRead($Combo_SFP1) == "AUCUN" ) Then

You were totally right. It's the operator precedence. https://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/docs/intro/lang_operators.htm

Thanks a lot.

Nicolas.

Replaced 'elseif' by 'if' in my example.
