fbreves
Hi People,I've been given a rather unusual task (at least for me). One of my customers has and educational game web site and they closed a deal with one school that will have around 200 students using the site. My task is to create a script that can simulate the action of a kid building a scenario, creating a game and playing a game. They want to know if their current server can handle the peaks. Although I noticed that autoit is not a load test tool, I am sure Autoit can accomplish the task I need.I could create a script that is able to login, and open the Game Editor successfully but when it comes to the MouseClick function it does not work within the same script. I had to create a second script for that to work. So right now what I am doing is running the Login script, once I get to the editor I jump to the second script and run it and this works fine. I am puzzled by why I can't make all work within one single script. I am pretty sure that I am doing something dumb as I am not a skilled developer.I hope you guys can give me a push on that. Here is the code I am using for the Main script.expandcollapse popup#include <AutoItConstants.au3> #include <IE.au3> Global $sURL = "https://www.somesite.com" Global $oIE = _IECreate($sURL, 0, 0, 0) Global $HWND = _IEPropertyGet($oIE, "hwnd") WinSetState($HWND, "", @SW_MAXIMIZE) _IEAction($oIE, "visible") _IELoadWait($oIE) Func SignInCrtScene () Local $username = _IEGetObjByName ($oIE, "usuario") Local $password = _IEGetObjByName ($oIE, "usuario[password]") Local $bntCrtScn = _IEGetObjById ($oIE,"create-scenario-btn") Local $oButtons = _IETagNameGetCollection ($oIE, "button") For $oButton in $oButtons If $oButton.type = "button" Then _IEAction($oButton, "click") _IEAction($username, "focus") ControlSend($HWND, "", "[CLASS:Internet Explorer_Server; INSTANCE:1]", "{Enter}") _IEFormElementSetValue ($username,"XYZ") _IEFormElementSetValue ($password,"XYZ") Sleep(1000) _IEAction($bntCrtScn, "click") EndIf Next EndFunc Func Main () Call ("SignInCrtScene") EndFunc Call ("Main")After the above one runs I jump to the second one.WinActivate("site title") MouseClick("left",481,642) Sleep(4000) MouseClick("left",663,717) Sleep(4000) MouseClick("left",979,367) Sleep(4000) MouseClick("left",768,733) Sleep(2000) MouseClick("left",754,472)This way it works. But if I try to put the above code within the first script it doesn't even move the mouse. The only way I can see the mosue moving is when I put this code inside the IF statement but it doesn't do the move and clicking at the right time. I am stuck here. I tried creating a Function for that and calling it but it won't work. Also tried putting after calling the signInCrtScn function but also no luck. Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted October 21, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 21, 2015 So let's add some error checking and break it down. How far does it get through the first function? Try something like this:Local $username = _IEGetObjByName ($oIE, "usuario") If @error Then ConsoleWrite("Username: " & @error & @CRLF) Local $password = _IEGetObjByName ($oIE, "usuario[password]") If @error Then ConsoleWrite("Password: " & @error & @CRLF) Local $bntCrtScn = _IEGetObjById ($oIE,"create-scenario-btn") If @error Then ConsoleWrite("btnCrtScn: " & @error & @CRLF) Local $oButtons = _IETagNameGetCollection ($oIE, "button") If @error Then ConsoleWrite("Button Collection: " & @error & @CRLF) "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind. jdelaney
First off, do you have 200 VMs or stations to run these scripts on? They will probably be single instances on a given box/vm. AutoIT isn't the best candidate for a stress test. If you wanted to do a smoke test/sanity test/regression test, then it's perfect for it. We do that at my company...coordinated scripts running on 3 flavors of our software, on 4 diff operating systems. Most load testing software doesn't physically manipulate a gui. They just send commands at the COM to pretend that they are doing a given action. So it's easy for one VM to spoof a ton of calls to exercise as if multiple users. They also record response times, and can check on the stats of the servers to paint a picture. That is more important than just clicking on a button with an autoit script. But my issue is that the portion of the site that needs to be tested runs on the client through Unity3D plugin and it is visual. I have been looking around for tools that could do exactly what you just said but it seems to me that tools Like Jmeter would not be able to simulate that. I might be mistaken, of course and would really glad to be pointed on the right direction.many thanks.
