Hi guys,

Im a beginner with autoit, I have the following code which I put together using also FF and inspect element on the website I want to load so that I enter the correct IDs:

#include <ie.au3>
$oIE = _IECreate ("https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/classic/home?studioid=35799")
$oForm = _IEFormGetObjByName ($oIE, "frmLogonTop")
$oQuery1 = _IEFormElementGetObjByName ($oForm, "requiredtxtUserName")
$oQuery2 = _IEFormElementGetObjByName ($oForm, "requiredtxtPassword")
$uname="abraka"
$pwd="dabraka"
_IEFormElementSetValue ($oQuery1,$uname)
_IEFormElementSetValue ($oQuery2,$pwd)
$oButton=_IEGetObjById($oIE,"")
_IEAction ($oButton, "btnLogin")
_IELoadWait($oIE,0)

It opens the website and then shows me these errors, it does not seem to even try to log in.:

>Running:(3.3.14.2):C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\autoit3.exe "C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\testing\openmindinIE.au3"
--> Press Ctrl+Alt+Break to Restart or Ctrl+Break to Stop
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Warning from function _IEFormGetObjByName, $_IESTATUS_NoMatch
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IEFormElementGetObjByName, $_IESTATUS_InvalidDataType
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IEFormElementGetObjByName, $_IESTATUS_InvalidDataType
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IEFormElementSetValue, $_IESTATUS_InvalidDataType
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IEFormElementSetValue, $_IESTATUS_InvalidDataType
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Warning from function _IEGetObjById, $_IESTATUS_NoMatch ()
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IEAction(btnLogin), $_IESTATUS_InvalidDataType
+>23:30:19 AutoIt3.exe ended.rc:0
+>23:30:19 AutoIt3Wrapper Finished.
>Exit code: 0    Time: 12.5

Any advice about what i did wrong and how can I make it working?

Thanks!

I tried to change it to first get the frame but not sure whats the right way?

#include <ie.au3>
$oIE = _IECreate ("https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/classic/home?studioid=35799")
$oFframe = _IEFrameGetCollection($oIE, 0)
$oForm = _IEFormGetObjByName ($oFrame, "frmLogonTop")
$oQuery1 = _IEFormElementGetObjByName ($oForm, "requiredtxtUserName")
$oQuery2 = _IEFormElementGetObjByName ($oForm, "requiredtxtPassword")
$uname="abraka"
$pwd="dabraka"
_IEFormElementSetValue ($oQuery1,$uname)
_IEFormElementSetValue ($oQuery2,$pwd)
$oButton=_IEGetObjById($oIE,"")
_IEAction ($oButton, "btnLogin")
_IELoadWait($oIE,0)

Now it shows the following after I run it:

Running:(3.3.14.2):C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\autoit3.exe "C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\testing\openmindinIE01.au3"
--> Press Ctrl+Alt+Break to Restart or Ctrl+Break to Stop
"C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\Include\ie.au3" (674) : ==> The requested action with this object has failed.:
Return SetError($_IESTATUS_Success, $oObject.document.parentwindow.frames.length, $oObject.document.parentwindow.frames.item($iIndex))
Return SetError($_IESTATUS_Success, $oObject.document.parentwindow.frames.length, $oObject.document.parentwindow.frames^ ERROR
->08:56:35 AutoIt3.exe ended.rc:1
+>08:56:35 AutoIt3Wrapper Finished.
>Exit code: 1    Time: 25.1

What means that error, what is not correct pls?

Thanks!

thanks. no, I did not solve it yet, I must be doing something stupid and not realizing yet how its supposed to be used. first time trying to write a script in autoit after some years.

I tried to add some of those things you recommend in your link and also based on help doc but it felt like im just making a larger code harder to work with and harder to focus on so then I again reduced so that I work first with something simple and later i can add more stuff and got to this:

#include <ie.au3>
$oIE = _IECreate ("https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/classic/home?studioid=35799")
$oFrame = _IEFrameGetCollection($oIE)
$oForm = _IEFormGetObjByName ($oFrame, "frmLogonTop")
$oQuery1 = _IEFormElementGetObjByName ($oForm, "requiredtxtUserName")
$oQuery2 = _IEFormElementGetObjByName ($oForm, "requiredtxtPassword")
$uname="username"
$pwd="password"
_IEFormElementSetValue ($oQuery1,$uname)
_IEFormElementSetValue ($oQuery2,$pwd)
$oButton=_IEGetObjByName($oIE,"btnLogin")
_IEAction ($oButton, "click")
_IELoadWait($oIE)

>Running:(3.3.14.2):C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\autoit3.exe "C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\testing\openmindinIE01.au3"
--> Press Ctrl+Alt+Break to Restart or Ctrl+Break to Stop
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Warning from function _IEFormGetObjByName, $_IESTATUS_NoMatch
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IEFormElementGetObjByName, $_IESTATUS_InvalidDataType
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IEFormElementGetObjByName, $_IESTATUS_InvalidDataType
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IEFormElementSetValue, $_IESTATUS_InvalidDataType
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IEFormElementSetValue, $_IESTATUS_InvalidDataType
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Warning from function _IEGetObjByName, $_IESTATUS_NoMatch (Name: btnLogin, Index: 0)
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IEAction(click), $_IESTATUS_InvalidDataType
+>11:15:23 AutoIt3.exe ended.rc:0
+>11:15:23 AutoIt3Wrapper Finished.

i guess im mixing wrong type if data together but not sure.

$oFrame = _IEFrameGetCollection($oIE)
$oForm = _IEFormGetObjByName ($oFrame, "frmLogonTop")

You can not use Collection as parameter to this:

_IEFormGetObjByName

You must select particular one Frame.

Here are results, i was not able to figure it out yet, tried various things but I guess I have to see more working scripts and RTFM to understand how what works and then practise in own scripts....

thanks for help!

A couple of things:

1) Review this link to learn the correct way to post code: https://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/150872-how-to-post-code-on-the-forum/

2) Repost your entire script

3) The issue is likely that you aren't taking the frame into account

4) Have you tried _IEFormSubmit instead of trying to click the button?

Thank you very much for your help, it works, great.

Do you have any recommendations what would be good to add to the code so that its more possibly stable? What would be good to read etc,...Im doing this so that ppl do not have to and also I dont want them to know the u/p and it is done automatically. personal security where I had some bad experience.

Thanks again :)
