Hi,

Please find the script attached.

the problem seems to be some incompatibility in IE.au3 with 64-bit systems.

Please read this:  ie.au3 UDF with AutoIt v3.3.14.x

btw.
In good written script you should not have such messages:

--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Warning from function _IEAttach, $_IESTATUS_NoMatch
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IELoadWait, $_IESTATUS_InvalidObjectType ()

So you need in first place focus on fixing them.

Thanks mLipok for the pointers...

I tried fixing the errors but I always keep getting @error = 4 i.e. $_IESTATUS_InvalidObjectType () when I am using _IECreate, any idea why?

Because you are trying to attach with non existing URL.

EDIT:

Check this:

Func MailboxAS2($iRow, $sStr)

    Local $vBool = False
    ; Attempt to attach to an existing browser displaying a particular website URL otherwise Create a new browser and navigate to that site if one does not already exist
    Local $oIE = _IECreate("http://10.1.28.190:5010/ws/BPMonitor?bpid=" & $sStr & "&next=page.bpdetail&pos=0&where=live", 1, 1, 1, 1)
    If @error Then MsgBox($MB_ICONERROR, 'CREATE', _
            '@error = ' & @error & @CRLF & '@extended = ' & @extended)

    Local $oTable = _IETableGetCollection($oIE, 7)
    If @error Then MsgBox($MB_ICONERROR, 'TABLE', _
            '@error = ' & @error & @CRLF & '@extended = ' & @extended)

    Local $aTableData = _IETableWriteToArray($oTable)
    If @error Then MsgBox($MB_ICONERROR, 'ARRAY', _
            '@error = ' & @error & @CRLF & '@extended = ' & @extended)
    Local $aTableHTML = _IETableWriteToArrayHTML($oTable)

    _ArrayTranspose($aTableData)
    _ArrayDisplay($aTableData)

    _ArrayTranspose($aTableHTML)
    _ArrayDisplay($aTableHTML)
EndFunc   ;==>MailboxAS2

and say which MsgBox popup in your case.

All 3 Msgbox give error

CREATE - @error = 4 @extended = 0

TABLE - @error = 7 @extended = 1

ARRAY - @error = 3 @extended = 1

It seems the code is running before the page is loaded. This code runs fine on Windows 7 32-bit. CONFUSED!

source.html is the URL source code. Please not that this is a intranet web application so it would not open for you.

tested the code again on a 32-bit Windows 7 operating system and everything works flawlessly. The _IE warnings are there but nevertheless it works! Is it because of the IE version. I am using IE11 on Win 8.1. Please help :(

The site is not open. I am trying to open a URL through _IECreate. _IEAttach i tried but not working though.

So why you are have this:

Local $oIE = _IECreate("http://10.1.28.190:5010/ws/BPMonitor?bpid=" & $sStr & "&next=page.bpdetail&pos=0&where=live", 1, 1, 1, 1)

quick look in help file:

Func _IECreate($sUrl = "about:blank", $iTryAttach = 0, $iVisible = 1, $iWait = 1, $iTakeFocus = 1)

And we see that you are setting  $iTryAttach = 1

So just try:

    Local $oIE = _IECreate("http://10.1.28.190:5010/ws/BPMonitor?bpid=" & $sStr & "&next=page.bpdetail&pos=0&where=live")

But tell me:
whether this site needs to be registered / logged in ?

  • 5 months later...

i copied the example from clipboard and tried _IECreate in my 64-bit machine. still it is not working.

#include <IE.au3>

_IECreate("www.autoitscript.com", 1, 1, 0)
_IECreate("my.yahoo.com", 1, 1, 0)
_IECreate("www.google.com", 1, 1, 0)

showing the following error msg:

>Running AU3Check (3.3.14.0)  from:C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3  input:C:\temp\1.au3
+>19:19:39 AU3Check ended.rc:0
>Running:(3.3.14.0):C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\autoit3_x64.exe "C:\temp\1.au3"
--> Press Ctrl+Alt+Break to Restart or Ctrl+Break to Stop
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Warning from function _IEAttach, $_IESTATUS_NoMatch
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IECreate,  (Browser Object Creation Failed)
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Warning from function _IEAttach, $_IESTATUS_NoMatch
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IECreate,  (Browser Object Creation Failed)
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Warning from function _IEAttach, $_IESTATUS_NoMatch
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IECreate,  (Browser Object Creation Failed)
+>19:19:39 AutoIt3.exe ended.rc:0
+>19:19:39 AutoIt3Wrapper Finished.
>Exit code: 0    Time: 0.4882

Any help on this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I even tried with the latest version of Autoit - but it gives the same result (also tired of trying 2 options while installing, x86 and 64bit, same errors)

Which example you copy from/to clipboard ?

Using your example:

#AutoIt3Wrapper_UseX64=Y
#include <IE.au3>

_IECreate("www.autoitscript.com", 1, 1, 0)
_IECreate("my.yahoo.com", 1, 1, 0)
_IECreate("www.google.com", 1, 1, 0)

on my Win10 x64 I have no issue with this snippet.

The _IEAttach warning $_IESTATUS_NoMatch is because this example using parameter $iTryAttach =1

As this example trying to attach but in fact there is no such instances, on my computer because of this, IE.au3 showing this warnings, and this is normal.

In your case the problem is:

Quote

--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IECreate,  (Browser Object Creation Failed)

First check if any iexplorer.exe exist in your process list.
Kill them all and run again.
