alexm963
Ok, so I am in the process of a large file type changeover and I need to edit my script to account for the different applications they might open in. Currently there is a batch file that will look for a PDF of a document, if it exists that will open in adobe. If the PDF doesn't exist yet, the file will open in its previous default application. The batch file is out of my control. It will run as it is currently until all the files are changed to PDFs. My current script sees the batch file run and waits for the old application to open, then proceeds on to the next steps. Now I need to see if either adobe, or the old application opens. Depending on which does, the next steps will change. Is there a way to count the instances of adobe and another ".exe" and then see which one changes to correlate the next steps?
