martinski
Hi all, Im new to all this scripting business, have done a little (and i mean very little) Arduino coding in the past… Im trying to get a windows script to close a program which is running, below is my code, it seems to run, but just doesn’t close said program… any ideas/guidance would be much appreciated. Func close() If ProcessExists("CashlessTest.exe") Then ProcessClose("CashlessTest.exe") EndIf EndFunc
Moderators Melba23 Posted February 22, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 22, 2016 martinski, Welcome to the AutoIt forums. If that is all you have then it is not surprising that nothing happens. You need to call the function and have a loop to keep the script running until it has done its job. Something like this: While 1 ; Call the function _Close() ; Give the CPU a moment to breathe Sleep(10) WEnd Func _Close() ; Check if the process exists If ProcessExists("CashlessTest.exe") Then ; Close it ProcessClose("CashlessTest.exe") ; And exit the script Exit EndIf ; If we get here than the function returns to the main loop and we try again later EndFunc I hope that makes sense - please ask questions if not.
