Trying to create a login bot

Recommended Posts

Below is my script. When running the program I get the following errors:

--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Warning from function _IEGetObjByName, $_IESTATUS_NoMatch (Name: user_name, Index: 0)
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Warning from function _IEGetObjByName, $_IESTATUS_NoMatch (Name: user_password, Index: 0)
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Warning from function _IEGetObjByName, $_IESTATUS_NoMatch (Name: not_important, Index: 0)
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IEFormElementSetValue, $_IESTATUS_InvalidDataType
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IEFormElementSetValue, $_IESTATUS_InvalidDataType
--> IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IEAction(Click), $_IESTATUS_InvalidDataType

I know this means it cant find what I'm looking for. Could this be because of a frame? Thanks in advanced:)

#include <IE.au3>

Call ("signIn")

Func signIn ()
Global $oIE = _IECreate ("yourwebsite.com")

Local $username = _IEGetObjByName ($oIE,"user_name")
Local $password = _IEGetObjByName ($oIE,"user_password")
Local $button = _IEGetObjByName ($oIE,"not_important")

_IEFormElementSetValue ($username,"username")
_IEFormElementSetValue ($password,"password")

_IEAction ($button,"Click")

EndFunc

You say bot, makes me think a login bot for a game, which is in violation of the Forum Rules.

InunoTaishou, if you think a post violates a rule, then just report it and let someone in charge handle it.

In this case, I don't see any rules violation yet, the word bot isn't banned and has dozens of meanings other than for games.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.
