How to use InetGet with progressbar and a cancel button

Recommended Posts

So, the title says what I want for itself. I want to download a file and still be able to close the window (canceling the process) and also have a cancel button to "start again". How can I accomplish this? The script I'm using is that "_webDownloader.au3" function provided in this forum. I'll attach it.

This function works well but I can't cancel the process and I can't close the window before the download is completed.

Well, I'm done with "progresson" and I decided to study more. So I built the file on the attachment called "Example.au3". It doesn't use the "progresson" function but the "GUICtrlCreateProgress". But I'm with the same problem. Thank you so much if someone could help me with this. :)

I know no method to resume a canceld download. Here's a small DL-Gui with a combobox: miniDL.au3 Just edit inifile after started and closed once, or edit direct in source #33-35. To cancel download or to close GUI _MySleep() is used.

When working with ProgressOn you can use HotkeySet or IsPressed for closing.

edie,

The Interrupting a running function tutorial in the Wiki shows you can interrupt a running function which incorporates a loop - and it works with MessageLoop and OnEvent mode. However, I am not if you can resume the cancelled download - you may have to start the whoel thing again.
