ericbartha
Hey everyone, I am trying to update an Input box so that when the user clicks on it, or Sets Focus to it, the value changes to blank (""). I've done this in VBA using the OnFocus event handlers, does AutoIt have anything like this? Any other way to achieve my end goal? I've been searching around but cannot find anything. Here is a screen cap of my form so you know what I am talking about... When the user clicks on the username field... $i_userName = GUICtrlCreateInput("Email Address", 60, 128, 250, 29) becomes.... $i_userName = GUICtrlCreateInput("", 60, 128, 250, 29) Thanks in advance everyone! Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. ericbartha
Thanks for the reply, BrewManNH. I am trying the example from that thread but cannot seem to get it to work. I will keep tinkering for now.
ericbartha
Alright, so I got it to work. In the examples from @Melba23 and @Chimera they used GUICtrlSendMsg(-1, $EM_SETCUEBANNER, True, $aInput[$i][1]) with the wParam as "True". I flipped that to "False" and now it seems to be working. I obviously have something flipped. I'll read through everything and see if I cannot figure it out. In the meantime, thanks so much @BrewManNH, Melba23, and Chimera!
