CzechTech
I am starting to use (and even enjoy) the new tools in the beta version. Yes, I have seen the additions to the tools menu when you have the beta version installed. What I do not see (yet), is how to switch the editor so that the help/autocomplete stuff is for the beta version. It seems (to me) like this would be a good addition to the SciTe Config dialog. Anyone else?

Take a look at this thread http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.ph...ndpost&p=104124once you have the SciTE updated for beat, Alt + F1 will give you the beta help F1 the release helpalso you'll see more in autocomplete SciTE for AutoItDirections for Submitting Standard UDFs Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference. MHz
Welcome, glad you like Scite4AutoIt3. Autocomplete can be done with Switch-definitions in the startmenu. the beta helpfile is in the tools menu, correct? I'm unsure as to why it needs more then this? Do you think it can be improved? CzechTech
Take a look at this thread http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.ph...ndpost&p=104124 once you have the SciTE updated for beat, Alt + F1 will give you the beta help F1 the release help also you'll see more in autocomplete Well I did use the beta help, but I did not notice what [Mhz] pointed out - that there was a tool in the start menu. I do not usually use the start menu, just the SciTe icon on the the quick launch bar. So to answer to both replys - thanks for your help - yes, I think it would be better/more helpful if this could be done within SciTe on the fly. Assuming that is possible of course. MHz
Additions to SciteConfig is for JdeB to consider. I do not use SciteConfig or Switch Definitions often as when Scite is set, Beta AutoComplete is fine for me and most other things. In general, lots of customizations can be done by the User properties file which I make good use of and perhaps have a Scite4AutoIt3 editor that is quite different from others. I am a firm believer in relative addressing, just as the original Scite is. So I set it up as such. You can add your own onboard tools easy. It is quite a good editor indeed. Get to know how your editor works and it will work for you. Lots to learn. Do read the helpfile as it will indeed add wisdom.
