Vencejo Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Hi all, I want close a excel book with send("!{F4}") (Alt+F4 is a shortcut for excel close) and work fine, but excel.exe process close when the script ends only. How could close the excel book without leaving the script and without "ProcessClose"? Thanks. #include <excel.au3> $oappl= _Excel_Open() $ruta= @ScriptDir & "\xlsx.xlsx" $libro= _Excel_BookOpen($oappl, $ruta) _Excel_RangeWrite($libro,"hoja1","algo") Sleep(100) Send ("^g") Send ("!{F4}") $oappl= "" $libro= "" MsgBox(0,"","Hasta que no se acaba el script no se cierra el proceso excel.exe, jarlll")
Vencejo Posted April 16, 2016 Author Posted April 16, 2016 I answer myself. _excel_close(). (Yes, i am a newbie ) But i dont understand why closing the script close excel.exe process if i dont use _excel_close().
water Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 I can't test at the moment but I think it is normal cleanup by Windows to close all sub-processes when the main process ends.
