Small
So i'm making a program and it will check if today is monday. I can change the date of the computer so is there a way to check what the real date is? currently i have it like this: If it is monday then it will do some stuff. If it is friday it will also do some stuff. If it is any other day it will just sleep until the next day. If i manualy change the date of my computer to friday it will do the things that it is seposed to do when it is friday eventho it is monday. anyone got a fix for this? PS: Sorry for the bad english Edited May 2, 2016 by Small
AutoBert
what have you tried already? When systemdate is wrong, @WDAY will also return a wrong day of week. The only possible fix is to correct systemdate, maybe by getting correct date and time by a server.

BrewManNH
There is no way for the script to know that the date on the computer is incorrect, unless you go out to the internet and find out the date/time from there. There are scripts in the Example script section for how to get the date and time from an NTP server that might be of some help. If someone is altering the date on the computer, then you need to control that rather than trying to figure out what the real date is yourself. Small
Right now i'm using this: Abs(_DateDiff('D', $date_valid[1] & "/" & $date_valid[2] & "/" & $date_valid[3], _NowCalcDate())) where [1] = year [2]=month [3]=day I want it to check if the difference is more then 10 but when I edit the date then the difference can be minipulated
BrewManNH
Just now, Small said: I want it to check if the difference is more then 10 but when I edit the date then the difference can be minipulated Of course it can be manipulated, that's why reading the date from the system clock is unreliable if someone is messing around with it. Use an NTP server. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
