Slider notification code unknown for TRBN_THUMBPOSCHANGING

Recommended Posts

I would like to use a WM_NOTIFY function to manage a slider thumb position change, according this MSN trackbar link TRBN_THUMBPOSCHANGING .

Does somebody know why the notification code "TRBN_THUMBPOSCHANGING" for the slider control seems ignored in "WindowsConstants.au3" include file ?

Searching in AutoIt or MSN forum , or googling this code, I don't succeed to catch any code info !!! Is it obsolete ?

Thanks

Alain.

Grosminet,

I have never used that message for detecting thumb movement on a slider - I always use $SB_THUMBTRACK via a $WM_H/VSCROLL message like this:

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
#include <WinAPI.au3>

$hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500)

$cSlider = GUICtrlCreateSlider(10, 10, 200, 20)
$hSlider = GUICtrlGetHandle($cSlider)

GUISetState()

GUIRegisterMsg($WM_HSCROLL, "_WM_HSCROLL")

While 1
    Switch GUIGetMsg()
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
    EndSwitch
WEnd

Func _WM_HSCROLL($hWnd, $iMsg, $wParam, $lParam)

    If $lParam = $hSlider Then
        If _WinAPI_LoWord($wParam) = 5 Then ;$SB_THUMBTRACK

            ConsoleWrite(GUICtrlRead($cSlider) & " - " & @MSEC & @CRLF)

        EndIf
    EndIf
    Return $GUI_RUNDEFMSG

EndFunc

Thx Melba23:

I have logged all notification codes received on a slider using "WM_NOTIFY" function, it seems that only 2 codes are handled:

-16 == $NM_RELEASEDCAPTURE (when mouse click)

-12 == $NM_CUSTOMDRAW (using arrows left, right, up, doown)

So, I suppose that the MSN link is now out of age ...

That's a pity, as the corresponding "NMTRBTHUMBPOSCHANGING" structure would get me lot of interesting info (position and type of movement) ...

Anyhow, thanks for your time passed to help me.
