Autoit console data to file

Hello everyone ! Is it posible to write the data from aconsole into a file? For example if you write some data into a  the console using Console write how could i write it from the console to a file?

I think there is no function for that - not sure - but why not write directly into a file instead of writing it to console?

When you have compiled the script as Console app then simply do what you would do with any dos command:

scriptname.exe > outputlogfile

If I remember well there is a way to store ConsoleWrite messages in a file even if script is compiled as GUI, I just must to find the solution.

if it's a GUI exe you can use somerging like this:

$sFile='Test.log'
$iDebug=1

Local $sString = 'Running this in a text editor which can trap console output e.g. SciTE, will display value of $sString.'
$sString&=@CRLF&'the string is also written to file'
_report($sString & @CRLF,$sFile,$iDebug)

Func _report($sMsg, $hFile='', $iDebug = 0)
    if $hFile<>'' Then FileWriteLine($hFile,$sMsg)
    If $iDebug Then ConsoleWrite($sMsg & @CRLF)
EndFunc   ;==>_report

Yes.

There is no need for this, as you can still catch ConsoleWrite() output even if the Script is designed as GUI Aplication.
